Hi there,

Someone (probably you) sent me an email two days ago, asking me about the very same problem. Unfortunately, the reply didn't work, the mailer daemon saying the address does not exist. So here is my answer:

The message itself is saying what the problem is: the .sat file you are trying to import was saved using a newer version of ACIS than the one GAMBIT 2.0 can import. Try to export it from Autocad using an older ACIS version. I think GAMBIT 2.0 was able to import maximum ACIS version R6 or R8, I'm not sure. Anyway, try and find it yourself which version is. I really do not know Autocad and I don't have it, I have worked with it many years ago, I only use CATIA now.

All the best,

Razvan

Try if *.igs or other formats work for your export/import...

As AJ suggested, you could also try to export/import IGES. Although, theoretically at least, Gambit is natively importing ACIS, as it is based on an ACIS geometrical kernel. So ACIS import should be error-free.

when you export the sat file in autocad, choose the version in the drop down to be lower than the default.
