To Fluent Wizards all around!

Hi all,
I am looking for a UDF that calculates the integral of the pressure forces (resultant of lift and drag) for an incompressible flow past a cylinder in 2d. Then, via a certain differential equation -not known yet- the displacement of the cylinder's center of gravity will be calculated then fed to the solver to move the whole cylinder and the mesh consequently. That is supposed to be made in transient simulation of course. So, this UDF will be used in the moving mesh model so as the simulation works as a coupled fluid-structure interaction. Now, could any body give a hand here? Cheers, Amr |

Hi Amr,
I am looking at the same problem too. My problem is a VIV problem. I have not got far yet, but I think the tutorial for dynamic mesh and the manual explaining the CG_MOTION is very helpful to get started. Sham. |

I have been through these Sham, but as a novice in C programming, find it difficult to put things together. The manual files has one example about moving meshes (check valve) that is nearly what I am looking for. I couldn't find exact answers to the very problem I am after though.
Let's see if anybody have something to say! Where are you experts out there! Take care, Amr |
