Hi

I am trying to make an Animation of the velocity contours in a defined plane in my geometry, but when i playback the sequence-1, I can see just the geometry without any defined plane and no velocity contours.

How can I reach an animation with changing velocity contours in defined plane in the geometry?

thankx

Please follow this sequence: 1. Display-Option. Choose active window number and Open. Close dialogue box. 2. Solve-Animate-Define. Set animation sequence to 1. Select the frequency and When (per iteration or per time step). Click Define. 3. Choose contours as Display Type and click properties. Select the plane and set other desired attributes. eg. range. Set view and display contours. 4. Set window number to the same active window and click Set. Choose Metafile for storage and click OK. 5. Click OK on Solution animation dialogue box. Now if you try to change the view in the Set window, you won't be able to! 6. Now start solving. 7. You can replay animation as you want. You can write a MPEG file to present in presentations too.

I thank you very much but at the end when I play back resulted animation, it was just a filled white geometry.

I choosed frequency = 20 (time step). and I did other setups like your description.

another problem: I could not set up another animation-sequence. Other window had showed just residuals.

Thanks

By default window no 0 is allocated for residual plot. So you are finding residual plots, most probably, in place of animation. as As a thumb rule, you should set your monitor windows (surface monitors or other) and after that you should set animation windows. So allocate separate windows for each display. You can set as many animation sequences as you wish and also get different views for each sequence. You can change residual plot window number too via Solve-Monitor-Residuals.
