hi, how can i refine mesh with Fluent not Gambit? thanks

You can refine a mesh by selecting the Adapt menu and choosing how you want to the adaption to be performed. For instance, if you select say Adapt->Gradient you can refine the mesh based on gradients of many properties. You would first select the property i.e. velocity->X-Velocity then click on "compute" (this gives you the maximum gradient value). You would enter a refinement threshold less than the computed maximum and click "Mark". This will show you how many cells/nodes are going to be added. If you are happy with everything then click "Adapt". A message will appear mentioning a "hanging node" just click "OK". You can then go to display grid and view the added cells. Hope this helps!
