Free and forced convection in fluent?

Hi all,

I am doing a project on the free and forced convection lab that is in thermal engineering. I have modeled the apparatus in pro e and imported it into gambit. When I meshed it I feel that all the edges, faces do not have a united mesh.Is there any tutorial anyone could suggest which explains meshing a body in gambit which is in iges format? anyhelp is greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Re: Free and forced convection in fluent?

There are few tutorials in Gambit training to read IGES geometry into gambit, clean geometry and generate mesh.

Here are the tutorial names: Training : GAMBIT : Introductory : Tutorials

Tutorial 5: Sedan Geometry - Virtual Cleanup Tutorial 6: SEDAN GEOMETRYâ€"TOLERANT IMPORT

Training : GAMBIT : Intermediate : Tutorials

Geometric Clean-up and HexCore Meshing of an Automotive Manifold

You may have to work with virtual geometry and merge features to generate mesh...

Have fun... AJ
