Batch Mode (Urgent Help)

Hello all!

I request community members to please suggest some reference material about running Fluent in batch mode like

1. What is Journal File 2. What is difference between a journal File and a script file 3. How to write these files and where can I find the command index. 4. How to start and stop Fluent in batch mode for steady and unsteady flow calculations.

Awaiting for your kind reply

Thanks in Advance Mahesh

Re: Batch Mode (Urgent Help)

Mahesh,

journal file is file consisting set of commands that allows fluent to speed up or automaticate the proces of case creation. instead of clicking in the menu, imagine especially prepared script/journl can do it for you

you write the journal file in normal editor

commands list you have here: /Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/help/html/tuilist/main_pre.htm

Why, you people are not reading manuals? All informations are there... Also description of batch mode in details...

anyway, hope it helps regards, Tomasz
