angular periodicity for injecting particles

Hi

I am using angualr periodic symmetry in computational domain. I can regenerate the periodic surfaces by command Display > view > number of repeats (to take visual contour on whole domain).

How can i generate the periodictiy in the injection of particles. i am using plane orifice atomizer. I can display particle tracks, but these tracks are limited to one period. Can i generate them on whole domain as i can generate periodic surfaces.

Thanks in advance

You could display an iso-surface of mass fraction of the species of the particles that are injected.

But if you want to separate the mesh into different volumes for viewing then you need to do it before reading it into fluent. Specify different continuum types.

Heres a tip - to save alot of time, split your periodic boundaries into different sections and view them instead of the default interior or whatever. It reduces the time to display plots of high cell numbers to a tiny fraction.

Re: angular periodicity for injecting particles

Thanks Phil

Isosurface will provide me the contour plot on the whole solution domain but i want particle track in the whole domain.

To be more precise, when i track particles from defined injection. Fuel dispersion is displayed on one periodic domain. As there is no periodicity defined in particle injection panel, so i face problem to get a visiual display of atomizing fuel in the whole domain.

I want to ask one more thing. Residence time and penetration of (dispersed fuel) particle variate with number of tries in Stochastic tracking (turbulent dispersion panel, set injection panel) how can i make residence time independent of above mentioned parameter.

Thanks in advance for your generosity
