Hi everybody, I'm just starting with CFD and in my problem I have to prepare the mesh for triangular prisms. I thought in using Cooper mesh but it seems impossible. Please can anyone teach me how to do this. I suppose this is a rather easy task.

Thank you very much!

Best regards

JF

Hey JF and welcome aboard,

To use the cooper scheme, simply start by meshing a face in the volume you are trying to mesh. Then, in "sources" choose the meshed face and the one opposite to it (this one must not be meshed). Choose a spacing (either size or count). The idea of the Cooper scheme is to imprint the mesh on the meshed face onto the one opposite to it and then create elements with the width (interval size) you assigned and then sweep them across the gap between the faces (sources). Did I make it harder?! Make sure the source faces are parallel.

Good Luck!
