Hello everyone,

Just want to ask al the great minds out there regarding modelling a free vibration cylinder, that is , allowing a current to paass through it and let it oscillate only in the vertical direction.

I was told that the udf requried to stimulate this will be somewhat similar to the tutorial 12 example, titled ' Using Dynamic Meshes - of a 2D valve example's UDF'

I am not sure how to actually apply the forces equation in the UDF to tell the cylinder wherer to move next.

Anyone help or comment will be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance, ken
