Default Parallel Processing: from the beginning

Hi all,

I want to run a case over different PCs with the parallel module of Fluent. I have been able to run it over the same PC with dual core processor. The next step is connecting another PC with dual core, too.

Here are my doubts (I've searched in the doc. but no clear answer, I can guess but...)

- Do I need to install the entire Fluent Package in the new PC?

- I've checked that rshd.exe is installed... maybe just need to install this program in the slave pc?

Thank you people

For FLUENT6.3.26

1. You don't have to install the package on each machine if you share the Fluent.Inc directory.

2. Depending on the communicator you want to use 1) for MPICH2, which is the default, you may need to install the FLUENT distributed MPICH2 package on each machine. 2) for the pnet version, you need to install the RSHD on each machine.

Hey,

No, you don't need to install that on the slaves. I already made it to work. Go to this URL, it'll give you full information:

Good Luck
