How reduce calculation time?

Hi,

I need to solve 4 additional time dependent UDS equation and it takes long time, How I can reduce time? Should I use explicit solver? How I use it?

Thanks!

I think explicit solver takes more time than implicit becz large time steps are taken by implicit solver to converge to solution.

I thing you must be reduce the size of mesh

yeah I also agree.

I find though that the expensive models are 'reassuringly expensive' when using a complex flow.

Why don't you try to get access to a multi-processor grid? Although you are still limited to 8 processors unless you split the problem up.

And proper use of a stepwise solution process and relaxation factors and alligning the grid faces with the flow. The user guide probably has guidelines for getting a quick solution.
