change boundary condition via UDF

Hello,

i want to change the boundary condition in a geometry depending on the hydrostatic force with a user defined function. Can anyone help me, how i can do it?

thx Gerhard

See tutorial 4 in Fluent 6.3.

I don't think it's that simple. I'm trying to do the same thing for a dynamic mesh simulation but my solution tends to diverge after a few timesteps .

What I do is I calculate the sum of forces and use F_PROFILE(f, thread, position)=force/mass*dt+v to define the velocity for the next time step.

To get some ideas how to start go to fluent web site, log on and find "User-Defined Functions (UDF) Archive".

I hope I helped a bit. Mateus
