Hello everyone, First of all i have to say i am fairly new with fluent and i have never written a UDF before. So,my problem is that i am trying to write a UDF which displays the positions of particles as they pass through a plane. I am trying to do that by using the DEFINE_DPM_OUTPUT macro, but when using this macro the particle positions will be stored in a file. So is there any way to display the particle positions on a plane? Thank you very much for your help Jana

maybe you dont need udf, use particule injection fron surface or from file

Hello Dear freind, about your question, you can use Report menu in fluent, Report-Discrete Phase...-sample . In this menu you can specify your favorite plane and display particles in this plane. good luck
