Hi,
have any of you ever simulated coating on a turbine blade? If so how did you mesh the thin layers, I'm having problems doing that with Gambit. Thanks |

|
Dont model thin layers explicitly otherwise your mesh will be huge. Use Fluent with modified wall boundary conditions/surface roughness etc. Just do structured decomposed meshing in Gambit for correct Y+ then worry about thin coatings in Fluent with above or UDF's.
