Import surfaces with mesh from Gambit

When I import my geometry into Flunet from Gambit, the interior surfaces are left behind.

Is there a trick to importing surfaces into Fluent along with the mesh?

Thanks

Peter

Re: Import surfaces with mesh from Gambit

All surfaces identified as interiors in Gambit will be recognised by Fluent as interiors and can be used as internals (porous jump, fan model etc) or simply for post processing/reporting (eg reporting flux)

Thanks for the note.

Fluent is not recognizing the interiors. Does this mean that my mesh is not correctly linking the surfaces with the volume mesh?

Thanks,

Peter

Re: Import surfaces with mesh from Gambit

Specify the interiors as such in Gambit then export. If they are walls (or part of) then the faces are disconnected and nodes will not be shared. Without remeshing you can create non conformal interface.
