Compressible Flow - Boundary Conditions

Hi all,

I'm trying to model a situation where I'm using the compressible state equation. I had previously used velocity inlets as my boundary condition for my flow entry points but newer versions of FLUENT tell me that this is not appropriate. As a result, I have switched to Mass Flow Inlets.

My problem is that when I use the mass flow inlet boundary condition I receive a "floating point error (imprecise)" however, using the velocity inlet boundary condition, FLUENT will iterate fine.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I have since had my problem solved. Pressure inlets are the way to go in this problem.

All the best!
