Wall Heat Flux Boundaries conditions

I want to include heat flux from some surfaces in the domain. When using Heat flux as a thermal boundary condition on a wall its gives the option of Heat Flux and Heat Generation. Do you need to input values for both?

No just import one. Then check using report>fluxes to be happy.

Re: Wall Heat Flux Boundaries conditions

Hello,

This "Heat Generation Rate" is meant for a wall of non-zero thickness (you may find "Wall Thickness" above "Heat Generation Rate") which generates heat like a printed circuit board. If interested, you can read Fluent 6.2 manual 7.13.1 Thin Wall Thermal Resistance Parameters.

Hope it helps,

Ken
