urgent need of help! please
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knows where i can view/downlaod a tutorial dealing with the prediction of aerodynamically generated sound past a circular cylinder or if anyone can guide me in using fluent to predict the sound generated due to flow past a circular cylinder Thanks...please help! |
Re: urgent need of help! please
I have done acoustic analsysis using FLUENT but not confident enough about it. But I do have the literature pertaining your problem. you can find the analytical solution for the problem in Blake Flow induced noise.
Fluent uses Hawikings model to predict the sound U can try this one in 2d and check if it works out. Create a cylinder and flow run the code and see if vortices are generated u have and example in fluent for this one and the after running few iterations select the acoustics module and select the cylindrical surface as the source of generating sound and try to find the sound pressure level at a 1 m distance from the source. you should check that you have enough domain to calculate the spl at the required position. well this is a mere suggestion and think may help u bye ramesh |
