I am modelling an impulse flow through a bucket sheet and I want to obtain an animation out of this. The problem is that I can not obtain a view of water phase (surface view) looking different than a mesh. I would like to have a surface rendered as filled. How to do this?

Hello, Iīm not sure if thats what you mean but what you can try is to create a surface out of surface / iso-surface / phases - value 0.5 ( for example ) This creats you the interface between phase 1 and 2. Itīs updated every timestep and so you can create nice films with velocity, turbulence, pressure or what ever you want to see. hope that helps Gernot

Thank you Gernot. Your answer is very helpful to me, that solved the first problem, because before I was just plotting it as a surface plot, now the interface it can be plotted as a grid. The only problem that I still have, is properties of a plot. I can have walls plotted as filled, lighten and smooth looking surfaces, but I can not do this with this new iso-surface. Settings in a display/scene window seems not to change anything. Air-water interface is always displayed as a mesh. What is the solution?

When you say display grid - what are your edge-type settings? Itīs just a guess that u have set `all ī. then change to feature or outline. When you want to change the color with the display scene panel then take the default values and just click on faces and outer faces. Edges must be Disabled. I hope that one of these 2 guesses solves your problem.

Hello again. I am really grateful for your help. I finally have found source of problem thanks to your posts. After your first post I was creating iso-surface out of default-interior which as I found now was resulting in creating surfaces out of 1D facets. That's why I couldn't obtain filled surface as a plot. Your second post help me to find that. Thanks again. Rafal
