combustion modeling

hi evrione, i am modeling combustion using laminar finite rate turb-chemistry interaction..the user guide tells me to predict the flow with different species first and then switch on the reactions..patching has to be done while switching on the reactions to give the initial spark.. my flow is predicted and while i switch on the volumetric reactions, patch it with temperature of 3000k in the whole fluid zone and iterate it, it does not even iterate once but gives an error msg like

" Error: > (greater-than): invalid argument [2]: wrong type [not a number]

Error Object: nan "

my geometry is a 2 cm dia cylindrical chamber with a convergent nozzle at the exit..the oxidiser comes from the port side nd the fuel comes from the walls of the cylinder..

any suggestions...???

thanks in advance.. palani.

Try the stiff chemistry option...

premixed combustion modeling

Dear; I found difficult to apply the simulation on the premixed combustion case, for example I don't know how to define the mixture (fuel & oxider), Re, Da, Ka and ะค. Can you to send me a tutorial about this case or simply guide me to apply it on my case study.

thank you
