Hi! My name is Maria Teresa, iīm a student at LUZ University in Venezuela and i have a doubt about FLUENT. iīm using the program to simulate the flow in a compressor passage and it shows me this warnings:

Warning: the rp-lsf option is not available in this solver

Warning: the sg-melt option is not available in this solver

Warning: the rp-host option is not available in this solver

i donīt know who else can i ask, it would be great if you can help me. and if you donīt know can you tell me maybe who does.

specting your help, thank you

Hi

1) What meshing tool have you used to construct the mesh? I mean did you start with Gambit, or with another software?

2) It seems that you are linking the simulation with a UDF or other files. Are you?

3) Maybe if you could elaborate on the problem you are trying to solve.

yes, i used GAMBIT. iīm sorry but i donīt know what a UDF file is, can explained to me? well...i used gambit 2.2.30 to create a blade profile(a compressor blade) and its mesh (a pave mesh) then, i started 3d fluent 6.2.16 , and read the case file, and thats when it shows me the warnings. iīm studing the fluid behavior around the axial compressor blade, focusing in the tip claerance reagion i donīt know if you need me to send you the mesh file so you could see it for yourself, if you need it, tell me

thank you for answer me before, hope this could help you a little more

UDF stands for "User defined function"; a small program written by the user in C language to specify different conditions in the domain.

Are you using a "moving and deforming mesh" or any special feature?

If possible, show the grid.

the UDF file is not mine (i think). is there a way for me to check it? i could show the grid, but i donīt know how to uplode files here. but iīm not using any special futures, let me tell you what i did:

first i imported a turbo file (like the one in the tut files), then with the turbo tool i created the turbo profile, the turbo volumes, i defines the turbo zones, and i decomposed the turbo volumen. then i created the boundary layers, meshed some edges and meshed the volumens. then i exported the mesh, save the file and that was it.

i did it using the FLUENT 5/6 solver. thatīs the file that shows me the warnings.

i donīt know if any of that is the problem. thank you for your help.
