Hy everyone, I'm trying to run FLUENT in parallel in two machines. Each one with Win 2000.

I'm following the user guide and on the DOS I type:

fluent 3d -t3 -pnet -cnf=c:\fluent.inc\hosts.txt -path\\robocop\fluent.inc

And my hosts.txt has

robocop robocop caverman

As you can see the robocop machine has 2 core.

When it stars the robocop the 2 nodes on it is ok, but the node on the caverman is not and I got this msn:

The system cannot find the file specified. Node 0 spawning Node 2 on machine "caverman" (unknown). The system cannot find the file specified.

0: mpt_accept: warning: connection timed out after 180 seconds Node 0 unable to spawn process on machine "caverman".

Does anyone know something about it??

Thanks

Lourival

Where is the Fluent.Inc directory located on robocop and caverman?

Dear all users and Joe,

The problem was solved for the FLUENT parallel.

I don't understand one thing, I checked that the FLUENT was trying to access the following folder:

c:\Fluent.Inc\bin\fluent.exe

But there is NO \bin folder, so I created the folder and copied all the contents in the

c:\Fluent.Inc\ntbin\ntx86

to the new one.

After that, I runned the same command stated before on the DOS

fluent 3d -t3 -pnet -cnf=g:\lourival\hosts.txt -path\\robocop\fluent.inc

And every thing was OK, except that I got one error but when I run the case everything is OK.

Anyway, here is my experience and if someone had another one please let me know about it...

Thanks

Lourival
