Parallel Fluent
Hy everyone, I'm trying to run FLUENT in parallel in two machines. Each one with Win 2000.
I'm following the user guide and on the DOS I type: fluent 3d -t3 -pnet -cnf=c:\fluent.inc\hosts.txt -path\\robocop\fluent.inc And my hosts.txt has robocop robocop caverman As you can see the robocop machine has 2 core. When it stars the robocop the 2 nodes on it is ok, but the node on the caverman is not and I got this msn: The system cannot find the file specified. Node 0 spawning Node 2 on machine "caverman" (unknown). The system cannot find the file specified. 0: mpt_accept: warning: connection timed out after 180 seconds Node 0 unable to spawn process on machine "caverman". Does anyone know something about it?? Thanks Lourival |
Re: Parallel Fluent
Where is the Fluent.Inc directory located on robocop and caverman?

Re: Parallel Fluent
The Fluent is instaled in both machines on the same location:
c:\Fluent.Inc |
Re: Parallel Fluent
Dear all users and Joe,
The problem was solved for the FLUENT parallel. I don't understand one thing, I checked that the FLUENT was trying to access the following folder: c:\Fluent.Inc\bin\fluent.exe But there is NO \bin folder, so I created the folder and copied all the contents in the c:\Fluent.Inc\ntbin\ntx86 to the new one. After that, I runned the same command stated before on the DOS fluent 3d -t3 -pnet -cnf=g:\lourival\hosts.txt -path\\robocop\fluent.inc And every thing was OK, except that I got one error but when I run the case everything is OK. Anyway, here is my experience and if someone had another one please let me know about it... Thanks Lourival |
