I was wondering how fluent handles heat transfer at two sided walls where fluid meets solid. I can't seem to find anything about it in the manual.

Does it use some kind of correlation to find a heat transfer coefficient from the Nusselt number or does it assume the wall temperature is equal to the temperature at the very edge of the fluid? Something else?

I have no idea how this condition works, which makes it difficult to understand if there are limitations associated with using it.

It will calculate a heat transfer coefficient given the flow characteristics, then it will solve the convective heat transfer equation.

Which coorelation it uses to solve for h; i don't know.

Thank you for the reply. I has assumed it used something similar to the Dittus-Boelter equation but was unsure.
