Hello everyone!

I wish to model 2D turbulent flow in open channel with K-eps tuburlence model and the standard wall function. The roughness factor n in Chezy formula is 0.025. I dont know exactly what the roughness height is,or i needn't to change the default number 0 ?

Thanks in advance.

First, you will find the Nukeradse`s roughness corresponding to the your roughness factor n in Chezy. Then, you will find the roughness height and the roughness parameter (that define the roughness in Fluent) corresponding to the Nukeradse`s roughness obtained. For more information: http://ethesis.inp-toulouse.fr/archi.../01/labiod.pdf (chapitres 1 @ 6)
