TRANS(SocketINETGetAddr): tnamebysocket() failed TRANS(SocketINETConnect): TRANS(SocketINETGetAddr) () failed TRANS(Open): transport open failed for tcp/XPS1710.network.LAN:0 Unable to open display

I have been working on this problem and read many mesaages on this site. I guess that this error is due to compatibility problem between gambit, exceed and may be windows-XP also.

Because in my case, on same PC with same OS and same version of exceed, older version of gambit gives no problem while newer version of gambit is giving problem.

I hope this will be of help to some users struggling with this issue.

If any body can throw more light on this please add to this. I am eager to use higher version of Gambit
