Elias Abboud is on a distinguished road
Hello to all,
I am trying to use the dpm model to estimate the residence time distribution for a vessel. The approach I used is as follows:

1. Obtain steady-state solution for the fluid domain.
2. Switch to transient solution.
3. Inject massless particles from the inlet (surface injection) and solve for an adequately long flow time with flow and turbulence deactivated.

What is the easiest method to extract the data to plot the rtd curve? I know that during steady particle tracking, sample files can be obtained at the output and then plotted as a histogram. Is this a viable option for the transient computation? In this case, will I be solving all over again to generate the .dpm files? As an alternative, can the relevant particle data be obtained from the automatically generated .xml particle file set in calculation activities?

Your advice will be much appreciated.
Elias
