Somebody could help me please??
I have a helicoidally pipe (3D) of 1 m length. The case is simple: the wall of the pipe is to 277 K und the flow in the pipe is to 333 K. I must obtain a temperature profile. The follow error appear when I want iterate: Error: divergence detected in AMG solver: pressure correction. Who I could resolve this problem? Thanks very much And, supposedly the pipe is inside of cold water (to 277 K), the idea is that the water cools the flow inside of the pipe, is correct that I use only the pipe and does not use the water to make the calculations? Thanks very much!! Kangre |

What are the inlet/outlet BCs? I suppose you have a velocity-inlet and pressure outlet.
If the inner wall of the pipe is at 277K, then the assumption is OK. But if the outer water is 277K and there is heat transfer taking place from the 333K fluid in the pipe to the water, then the wall of the pipe must be modeled by a specified properties and thickness. Regards |

Hello!, it is true that I have a velocity-inlet and pressure outlet as BC's.
For the wall I must determinate the properties at "Thermal Conditions" ïƒ "Convection" or "Temperature"? I am confused And for pressure outlet is it necessary that I determinate "Backflow Total Temperature"? The system consists in a helicoidally pipe (R= 2 mm, and Rout=2.1 mm, length 1 m). In this pipe there is a hot liquid (333K inner wall) and outside cold water (277 K outer wall). The cold water is enough to consider it as infinite medium. Thanks very much Kangre |
