udf u1064 nmake

hi all, i am trying to compile a udf using nmake command.i am doing each step given in fluent tutorial,but i got a error message as follow;

D:\>cd libudf\ntx86\3d

D:\libudf\ntx86\3d>nmake

Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 8.00.50727.42 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

NMAKE : fatal error U1064: MAKEFILE not found and no target specified Stop

this is the first time that i used a udf and i can not overcome this problem.is there any other way to compile this udf or what can i do to solve to problem.

i would really appreciate if you could help me

Try to compile a simple hello world type c program from a command line to verify that your compiler is correctly configured.

thank you a lot Joe;

in this case error mesage is changed to;

NMAKE : fatal error U1077: '"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\BIN\cl.EXE"' : return code '0x2' Stop.

I have the same error as Ali said.I dont understand how to solve this problem.I would really appreciate you if u could help me.
