Gambit tet/hybrid mesh

Dear Gambit users,

I am a new user of Gambit, I wonder what is meant by the tet/hybrid mesh element. Does the 'tet' means tetrahedral or something else and why 'tet' and 'hybrid' come together? I'm a bit confused, please help!

Re: Gambit tet/hybrid mesh

Tet is the short form for tetrahedral mesh. When you see a hybrid or non-conformal mesh it means it is a mix of structured hexahedral cells and unstructured tetrahedral cells.
