vaporization using DPM?

Dear all

I am solving a problem of LNG (liquified natural gas) injection into a tank. The LNG temp at cryogenic conditions, once liquid injected into a tank after some distance the liquid get vaporized due to inside tank temperature. For solving this problem I am using DPM, but I am not sure which injection method is it suited for this problem

can anybody suggest which injection method is suitable or any other approches is it fit for this problem.

U r suggestions are appreciable

Thanks in advance

surya

Look at the tut on using the DPM, it includes vapourisation effects.

Hi,

I am no expert in this, but I guess you have got to look at the actual nozzle used and see if there is any pre-set nozzle setting in FLUENT from the manual.

If there is none, you can try the 'multiple injection' and set all the points at one location such that they form a nozzle. I am using such method for rotary disc atomization.

Another thing to look at is your nozzle spray angle and droplet size distribution. This will take some effort to measure or estimate.

Cheers, Woo
