Inflow without outflow!

Hi to all,

I am running a simulation in a 3d geometry. I have 2 phases water liquid is my primary phase and water with suspended material is my secondary phase.

i have a closed tank (no outflow boundary condition) with wall boundary conditions all around and i use an inflow boundary condition i a small opening in one of the walls.

The funny think is that i get very good results and all the equation converge normally, but i am not using any outflow!

My question is if that is correct cause i suppose that the continuity equation should not converge since i am not using any outflow.

i would appreciate any help!

You can try VOF scheme.

Dear Kuba,

Since you are sugesting the VOF model do you know if i can use the open channel formulatrion using 3 phases?

Air primary phase (above the free surface) Water-liquid secondary phase1(below the free surface) Water with sand secondary phase2(below the free surface)

Thanks in advance!
