Hi:

I am using Gridgen as preprocessor to generate grids. Grid is looking fine, no negative volumes. But when I read case in FLUENT 6.3.26, It gives error during GRID CHECK

zone-3: (wall) 71- Left handed Zone-5: (Interior) 191-Right handed

I have alogned all blocks (structured), Re-initialize unstructured blocks. But it is giving same problem.

The grid is hybrid.

Any solution to eleminate this error.

Thanks

Haider

You can usually correct this by using the GUI - Grid/Reorder/Domain. This will automatically correct the right handed and left handed faces. Hope this helps. --SV

If you use Gridgen it means you can also use Pointwise, it is just newer version of Gridgen much more user friendly. Personally, I really recommend it to you (www.pointwise.com).

Regarding to your problem, make sure all your grid block axes conform with main model axes. If not these may result in negative volumes (as it is called in fluent), surface normal vectors do not conform with "screen depth" (z or y?) axis.

It is possible in Gridgen/Pointwise to select all surfaces and set one as a 'master' one, then select all the others and set 'align'

Regards
