Edges in Gambit

Hi,

I am having trouble creating a 3D geometry.

I have a circular face composed of several edges for various reasons. When I transform this into a cylindrical volume by either sweeping face along an edge or stitching faces together I no longer keep the original edges when viewed.

I mean when viewing from a top down view which is essentially a 2D view, I should not see anything except the top circular face of the cylinder. But I am seeing the bottom circular face too, and it's edges seem a bit off from the top face.

Why aren't the edges of the top and bottom face alignes as they should be?

Thanks

Only reason I can figure, is that the line(edge) you are sweeping along isn't perpendicular to the circular face(bottom face).

u mean after sweeping , u get an offset . ok may be u should try to translate the edges of your first circular face separately and then join each of them separately . Do you understand what i mean ?.

I think I understand. You mean copy and translate the edges, then either making a volume of the wireframe or make faces then stitch them together, is that right?
