Import a file into fluent - urgent pls help
 
Hello,

can anyone help me with what extension files can we import into Fluent from following: .x_t .x_b .sat .step .stp .igs .iges

Or let me know where can i read about this?

I m not sure but this extention files are just for geometry and dont contain mesh. You can read these files with all the CAD software. Fluent needs a meshed geometry.

I import my files.x_t in gambit and I export a files.msh to Fluent from Gambit.

So that means I can import these extension files into gambit ...mesh the geometry and export to Fluent.

can u tell me how do u import the .x_t file

as in in gambit go to file --- import nd the?

i saw options for .iges and .step but for .x_t ??

pardon me..if this is a silly ques but ...this is

first time i'm using this feature of gambit.
