Hi sm

use adapt-region to mark all cells below your specified y-value.

After that, assign the desired value using solve/initialize/patch

cheers

Thanx Max. But why is the refinement of the grid "on". I do not want to refine the grid, so i have put the refinement factor as 1. sm

In the Adapt/region panel do not push the Adapt button but just "mark".
