Any experiences using FLUENT in Water Treatment?
Hi, I am interested in using FLUENT for the water treatment field. My purpose is to do CFD simulations for aeration tanks, sand filters and RBM (membrane bio-reactor), so it is important that simulates correctly multiphase and discrete particles in a fluid (water). Has anyone had any experiences in this field with this software? Thanks!!! Xavier

Hi...Xavier...!
I am trying to do the same thing...!But not that specific...! I am trying to use CFD for wastewater treatment facilities...! i hv tried it for chlorine contact tanks...distribution chambers...n anoxic tanks...sometimes got success...but failed usually...!but it works...! It was a great pleasure to know that someone else is there with me..in this field...! Keep in touch buddy...! you can mail me at sushilkumar.sonar@gmail.com Have a nice time...! regards, Sushil..! |

Re: Any experiences using FLUENT in Water Treatmen
hi there; from your speaking, I can see that you are trying to make a DPM simulation with filtration. So, you will need to do some porous B.C and for the DPM( discrete phase modelling), I can help you with this issue. my e-mail is: shebos@hotmail.com

Hello Sushil, I am trying to simulate aeration using mixture model. My density value is showing incorrectly after some iterations
