Water level at outlet(VOF)
 
hi, i'm doing a free surface simulation in which i need to keep water at a desired height at the outlet What bc shall i use and what parameters shall i specify??

Hi, if you need to keep the water at a desired heigth at the outlet, you can use the VOF model with the option "open channel". At the outlet, a "pressure outlet" with the open channel option will work. hope that helps

Go to Define>Model>Multiphase>VOF there you will get this option... for Open channel flow..!

there is no such function for 6.1. only 6.3 has

So whats the remedy in fluent 6.1.2
