dear all:

Do you have experience to simulated supercritical fluid or porous media?

How to set up for supercritical fluid in FLUENT? And in fluent user's guide, it didn't wrote detail momentum equation for porous media. If i turn porous zone on,Which form of momentum equation in porous media will use in FLUENT?

My study is to combine this two in FLUENT. Can FLUENT do it?

Help me out, please.

Dear Cachen, please see the document about porous media, basicly there are two formulation about it, first about inertial resistance and viscous resistance, you can find and fit the typical resistance constants by testing your porous media first in such flow condition and fit it into graphical to get coeeficient of constant (inertial and viscous).

I hope it help

Dear Manik:

Thank your help.

But i still have question for momentum eqaution in porous media. I know that it added two source terms for momentum equation, but i did not know it will change the form of momentum equation in porous media or not. In literature of porous media, every terms in momentum equation will have porosity effect like this equation in below link

http://www.me.ncu.edu.tw/fluent/flowmen/porous.pdf

so, i am confused this equation with FLUENT user's guide which only add two terms.

Can someone explain it? Thanks very much.

Dear Cachen, actually you can find it the user help about porous media, it is right that momentum is change as fluent guide also said, the porous term in fluent is same with you said, it change the momentum equation, because fluent applied porous media as a source to change the momentum

see the equation manual at fluent it is informly well
