Default Flow around a car
Posts: n/a
Dear FLUENT user;

I want to simulate the flow field around a car. I know that I shoud set the ground as a moving wall, but I do not know that how can I model interaction of the wheels and the ground. Should I make a very very small distance from the wheel and the moving ground?

Many thanks, ROOZBEH

Yes, certainly the ground should be modeled as a moving wall with the same velocity as the free stream velocity. The flow fild will be fundamentally different if the ground is set as a stationary wall.
