Creating a new zone in Fluent

Firstly mark the region you wnt to separate out using the command

Adapt/region/mark

once marked the cells you want to separate...then you can separate them n creat a new zone by

grid/separate/cells

Hope it serves your purpose..!

Ok for that. Now if I want to put a positive mass flow rate (fluid entering the domain) with a constant temperature, how can I define temperature of the fluid ? Do I define the energy of the fluid in W/m3, but how to calculate it ? It is function of a difference of temperature in a time step and in my case there is no variation of the fluid temperature.

Hi

I am not sure of the solution but if you know hoe to define source term then while defining energy you should know that w/m3.0C is specific heat for the fluid so if multiplied by the desired temp. value the resultant unit will be w/m3......!

Hope it serves your purpose...but do check with fluent manual..!
