Hi i have fluent 6.3.26 32 bit and the 64 bit version. When i run fluent in parallel the simulation is faster but 32 bit version is faster than 64 bit (in each case there are 4 processors working). Why this strange behaviour.
Thanks |

64 bit requires about 20% more memory than 32bit. It wont run any faster 64bit (unless it prevents swapping), just is able to access more ram for more complex models or bigger meshes.

What version of 64 bit window are you using? Window 7 professional or any else? I am working on window 7 professional 64 bit operating system. During the installation of 6.3.26 (64 bit), message appears as below: This installation does not support window operating system.......(seem like do have compatibility issue) Note: This message does not appear for 32 bit installation on window 7 professional 32 bit operating system. Did you face the same problem as mine before? How you solve it? |
