mixture model for rotating bowl

hi all

I want to send a dispersion to the rotor(rotating cylinder) i.e. a continuous phase containing a dispersed phase is to be send at the bottom centre mass inlet to the rotor. My geometry is 2-d axisymmetric swirl. Now if i want to send a dispersion in the rotor i think its appropriate to use mixture model. can i use mixture model for this system where the rotor is rotating at 250rad/sec and the inlet to this rotor consists of water as continuous phase and ccl4 as dispersed phase, and the rotor is open to the atmosphere at the top. in my model i am using droplet size of ccl4 is 30 microns in continuous phase water and the massinlet rate for water is .005kg/sec and ccl4 is .002 kg/sec

I tried this model but getting divergence. I am using simple scheme for pressure velocity coupling and presto for discretization.

I will be highly obliged if you kindly help me out in resolving this issue

regards garima

Sorry which model did you use? Try 2nd order upwind scheme. Thats more robust.
