Postprocessing in external program
 

Is there a way to postprocess the results of fluent in an external program like tecplot or AVS? The animations FLUENT makes are not of high quality, even with the proper lights and walls they do not look very 3Dish...so I'm thinking, is there a way to maybe view the HOOPS metafiles (*.hmf) files FLUENT exports externally with tecplot or AVS? Or maybe the .dat files can be used in some way?

I use File > Export > Ensight Gold + transient and do all my post processing in Ensight.
