animate function trouble

I used the animate function of fluent for some time now and like the fact that withour storing the entire .dat file you are able to view a given quantity through time being able to adjust views, colours etc afterwards.

However the function acts really weird sometimes. I don't know why but it often does things very unexpectedly. Like just now it refuses to display my particle tracks color by particle velocity. Instead it displays an empty domain. The particle tracks are calculated though and I can access them afterwards with the show particle tracks option but not with the playback animation option and of course I want to see them though time... The outputed .hmf files look ok but in the terminal while calculating it keeps displaying:

(ani-monitor-update 1 #t #f)(dpm-compute-pathlines '(injection-0) "Particle Velocity Magnitude" "null" "null" "null" "null" #f #f "none" " " " " -1 -1 #t)()

It also always switches from my given min and max to 'auto range' unexpectedly.

Any idea what I do wrong now what I did correct all the times the function did work in the past?
