postprocessing flamelet model (non-premixed)

Hi,

I am trying to apply the non-premixed laminar flamelet model. As I am using gas with a certain percentage of CO and combustion in a tubular cilinder with two circular inlets of gas and air at one side and at the other end the outlet opening for the waste-gas. As I am computing the flamelets with the standard methane-air.inp file of chemkin, I see that the flame extinguished at a certain value of scalar dissipation. But after postprocessing my results I find dat in areas with a large scalar dissipation (where the file extinguishes) there is still a combustion temperature. I don't quit understand how this can be. Can anybody please help? Thank you in advance.
