export cell data to text
 
hi all till now i am using Star-CD now i have started using fluent i want to export the data (like velocity, temperature and pressure etc...) of each and every cell to text file. In Star-CD i can do that can any one help how to do that in fluent. if i have to write UDF can help any one help me in this regard.

No problem. Theres a few options: 1. File->write->data Turn off binary option when writing data files, and then read the data file. 2. File->Export, choose variables and export. 3. File->Interpolate->write data = similar to 2

Thank you Mr. Giles but my problem is if i want to export the data (like velocity, temperature and pressure etc... along with their cell or face centroid coordinates) if i use file write it is not writing the X,Y coordinates of the geometry at which the field values are calculated. what exactly i want is take the data in a tabular form such as

x-cord. y-cord. U-velocity

x-cord. y-cord. V-velocity

x-cord. y-cord. Temperature

so that i can do some post processing in my own way... please any one help me in this way
