radial fan model

hi,

i am modelling the flow inside closed chassis. there is a radial fan in it, and i want to model it as a simple box with flow inlet outlet. i know the fan curve. i modelled the fan as a 3d block and defined planes for inlet and outlet on that block. i donot mesh inside the fan.

i define intake fan and exhaust fan bc's;with pressure jump input. but the massl flow rates of input and exit are not same. any advice?

thanks

Re: radial fan model

fan is a turbomachine so it add's energy to flow but your model do not!

so what would you suggest me? model the fan differently? if yes, how can I do this? thank u very much

r u using SRF or MRF? is mass flow rate is conversed?
