Modelling a gaz-liquid counter current flow?

Hi everybody, I would like to simulate a gaz-liquid counter current flow in a cylindrical pipe. In this device, the liquid phase goes down, sliding on the wall from a upper tank whereas the gaz goes up in the middle of the pipe. The aim of this calculation is to understand the interaction between liquid film surface and gaz flow, and more particuraly flooding effects. I was thinking about using the VOF model, is this a good idea? Has anyone worked on this subject yet? Thanks in advance.
