Hi all,

I am dealing with a cfd model where current densities and ohmic heating terms are involved.I would like to know how to define these terms or related terms(JOule Heating and Butler Volmer Rate options) in FLUENT.

Thanks, Swapna

hi, you can use MHD module. for this you have to get separate license from fluent.

You can solve the equation for electric potential and find the current density and Joul heating by solving additional equation for UDS (user defined scalar=potential). But you can have some difficulties in approximation of potential gradient at electrode boundaries.
